CH-UH State Safety Assessment
K2M Design was contracted to provide Safety Plans for 13 sites in accordance with State of Ohio Safety initiatives known as “Safer Schools”. The services included architectural and engineering field measuring, project management and CAD floor plan modifications for the sites selected by the District.
K2M Design partnered with Haris Design and Construction and M&T Bank to provide and Accessibility Surveys for the M&T Bank throughout the Mid Atlantic. The Surveys were provided in concert with multiple renovations to bank branch locations throughout Maryland and Virginia. The ultimate goal of the assessments and renovations was to ensure all branches were fully accessible to both employees and clients.
Allen County Property Condition Assessments
K2M Design partnered with Allen County to provide a complete Planning and Facility Condition Assessment services for approximately 222,000 SF of existing space and land that can and does support various Allen County entities. The team examined the facilities from a size (square footage, employees, parking), capacity, programming and efficiency standpoint with the ultimate goal of providing the Board of County Commissioners with a long term strategy for the efficient use of County buildings and land. The purpose of the effort is to answer three basic questions: What do we have; What do we need; What can we do; What and When should we do it.
Monroe Co Admin Space
Monroe County and the K2M team undertook a comprehensive strategic needs analysis and facilities assessment for both the short-term (5 year) and long-term (25 year). Components of the assessment included Site, Exterior Envelope – wall, openings, and roof, Interior Construction, Structure, HVAC, Electrical / Special Systems, Plumbing / Fire Suppression, Vertical Transportation, Security, ADA, and Detention Systems.
K2M Design is proud to have Norman Noble as a long-time client. We have worked together to renovate and transform more than 150,000 SF of renovations to their facilities, including office, laboratory, clean rooms, manufacturing facilities, and test facilities. Additionally, K2M provided accessibility assessments, programmed and planned the consolidation and relocation of several of the core operating divisions within the corporate headquarters, including design of new offices, lobby, restrooms, kitchen and dining area, conference rooms, filling area and open workstations.
K2M Design is provided architecture, mechanical, electrical, plumbing engineering, and developer services for over 200,000 SF of commercial office space and renovations throughout the (2) six-story buildings. Existing conditions surveys, programming, fit plans, demolition, renovation, and other reconfiguration services were provided to meet the changing needs of tenants. Beyond basic architecture, design and engineering, K2M also assists the owner with signage permitting, site design, and public area improvements.
City of Miramar
The city of Miramar, Florida, hired K2M Design to conduct a complete analysis and assessment of its facilities, buildings, grounds, and miscellaneous structures located within the city. This included: identifying current facility conditions and deficiencies, recommending corrections for all deficiencies, providing cost estimates for corrections, and forecasting future capital renewal costs. As part of this contract, K2M Design’s engineers and architects are performing the following services for the assessment: legacy data gathering, creation of asset database, pre-inspection, inspection, data entry and analysis, data review, and data report generation.
