PROVIDING ASSESSMENTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ADA CONFORMANCE, ROOFING, ENVELOPE MAINTENANCE, HISTORIC PRESERVATION, AND GENERAL UPKEEP
K2M completed existing conditions surveys on this historic property. Currently in Design Development, this hotel will have 133 guestrooms, a restaurant, Executive Lounge and meeting spaces. K2M’s design plans include custom tailored solutions that will enhance the historic architectural features and accents with whimsical nods to the early 20th century shopping experience, honoring the fashionable spirit of the Stambaugh Building.
Marriott Key Tower
K2M Design is currently engaged in the renovation of the Marriott Key Tower and the Key Club. Existing conditions and ADA surveys were completed on the 25 story, 385 room hotel. The renovation will include work in the following areas: building exterior entrances, Lobby/Greatroom, Public Restrooms, Lobby Lounge, Lobby – dining, fine dining restaurant, back of house, existing hotel fitness (conversion to meeting space), elevator lobbies, concierge loungs, ballroom/pre-function, meeting rooms/board room, and the Key Club including the Fitness.
K2M completed an accessibility survey, including egress studies, of the property including guestrooms, public areas, exterior areas, and back of the house spaces. A building envelope assessment was also performed to evaluate existing walls, windows, doors, roof, and parking garage conditions.
K2M provided accessibility assessment services for the building and limited site area including: Lobby/Registration, Business Center, Gift Shop, Executive Lounge, Café, Lounge Facilities, Restaurant Facilities, Meeting Rooms, Pre-function, Ballroom, Board Room, Fitness Room, Pool, Guest Corridors, Elevators, and Guestrooms. The assessment was performed in accordance with the US ADA guidelines in Aruba where these codes are not exist.
