Monroe County Sheriff

K2M Design provided design and coordination services for the replacement of the former flat roof and tie into the existing barrel concrete tile roof on the Monroe County Sheriff’s office. The challenge with this project was designing a roofing system over the sheriff’s office where the 24/7 operations had to be maintained. In addition there were three separate substrates where the new single ply membrane had to attach. Our team installed a 2500 square foot 90 mil cool EPDM membrane roof and waterproofed around the roof monitors and 6-feet up the existing barrel tile roof. Our team worked with the County to develop a 4-phase plan to replace the existing roof over the entire jail, sheriff’s office, and juvenile facility.
